Lifestyle Medicine Intervention

Elements of lifestyle, such as diet, exercise, smoking, and stress, are known to affect health and risk of many chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. Various studies have identified significant relationships between lifestyle and health status, healthcare utilization, and costs to the healthcare system. Lifestyle medicine interventions aim to improve patients’ lifestyles to prevent, treat, and even reverse some chronic diseases and improve overall health outcomes and quality of life.
